| Look at the showerhead while the water is on and determine where the leak is coming from. |
| Between the showerhead/hand shower holder and the shower arm: Remove the showerhead or holder (See How to install a showerhead). If there is a lot of lime scale build up clean your showerhead/holder and the end of the shower arm (see instructions). Inspect the threads on both the pipe and the showerhead to see if they are worn out (if plastic check for cracks). If the threads on the showerhead are not sound replace it, If the threads on the shower arm are worn, replace it if you can or call a plumber. |
| At the inlet of the Showerhead/Inlet and exit of holder: Look to see if there is a rubber washer (a small rubber disk with a hole in the center). Pull it out and inspect it to see if it is damaged. If so take it to a hardware store and use it to look for a similar replacement. Replace the good washer and install the showerhead( See How to install a showerhead). |
| Ends of the flexible hose: If you have a hand shower please inspect the threads and rubber washer at either end connection of the flexile hose. |

| If the leak is from the showerhead itself: : It means that a part inside the showerhead is defective. You can try and disassemble the unit and inspect the parts. Look for: |

Lime scale build up - clean by soaking in vinegar and re-assemble. |

Defective rubber seals - take any rubber seals to a hardware store to find a replacement. |

| As you take apart the unit, make notes or drawings of how it goes back together. Note that most newer showerheads are designed not to be disassembled. This is because improper re-assembly could lead to an accident while in use. We at Iconic recommend you replace your showerhead if the leak is from within the unit, life is to short for mediocre showers and the showerhead failing while in use by family is dangerous. |
